What is Tawakul?
Tawakul is full trust and reliance on Allah.
No matter what happens, we know that our Creator has a plan for us.
When things look at their lowest and darkest points, that is the true test of tawakul.
We have a choice at that moment to be firm in faith that there is a plan for us, just as Allah has a plan for everyone.
We don’t despair, but instead, increase our duaa, let our hearts and tears flow to the only One that can dry them.
Allah says in the Qur’an, “The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts become fearful, and when His verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith; and upon their Lord they rely (have tawakkul)” [8:2]
If not even a leaf falls from a tree without Him knowing (hadith), then how could we not put our entire trust in Him? It is Allah that provides everything.
The Messenger of Allah (saaw) said: “If you trust Allah with the right kind of tawakul, He will provide you sustenance as He provides for the birds – they go out in the morning with empty stomachs and come back in the evening with full stomachs” (Tirmidhi)
Turn to the only One that can answer your duaa and provide for you in ways you could never have imagined.
