Perhaps many times you met someone reciting the Qur’an from his memory without looking at the Mus’af, so you wished well for him for the blessing of the Qur’an memorization, or once you wished that you were in the imam’s position, leading the Muslims in prayer, or maybe when you saw your friend talking about religion affairs or recalling different verses from the Quran with ease, you had a passion to do the same, or probably when you found your friend with a strong argument, applying the Quran verses in his life, and reciting them whenever doing anything, so you said: What if Allah (SWT) grants me like what He has bestowed on him?
The Qur’an Memorization was never just a luxury for its companions or a way to kill their time. Rather, the people of the Qur’an may have less time than you, but they are strong-willed persons, determined and have something in their hearts that urges them to fill their lungs with breaths from Allah’s (SWT) Book and to memorize the Qur’an so that the Qur’an’s Lord protects them. And to adorn their feelings with the most precious of jewels through memorizing the Qur’an.
Why should we memorialize the Qur’an and not just read it?
You may ask: Why are we keen on Memorizing and Teaching the Noble Qur’an Memorization? Isn’t it enough for us to read it?
The answer, my dear friend, is that: We are commanded to do so. We do not have to be content only with reading, but rather to memorize it in our hearts (chests). Perhaps a day will come upon Muslims – and it has come in some times – when the Qur’an will be burned, plates are thrown, papers are torn, and verses are distorted, so whoever shall memorize the correct surahs, shall not the Qur’an people? And if the criminals destroy everything that contains Allah’s(SWT) verses, they will never be able to remove them from the chests, because they are more preserved and protected than in the Mus’af sheets of paper. “Understand the Qur’an, for, by the One in Whose hand my soul is, it is more eloquent than a camel in its mind.”
The Reward for Memorizing the Noble Qur’an:
There is a great reward for Memorizing the Qur’an, its honors and rewards are more immeasurable than anything else in this world and the hereafter. The Qur’an Memorizer is the first of the Muslims to lead them in their affairs; in prayer, in war, takes care of them in peace, and even if the Qur’an Memorizer died, the Prophetﷺwould put and arrange the memorizers and his companions who had memorized the Qur’an in burial, according to their Qur’an memorization. Jabir ibn Abdullah (RA) said, “Allah’s Messenger ﷺ shrouded every two martyrs of Uhud in one piece of cloth and then he would ask, “Which of them knew more Qur’an?” When one of them was pointed out, he would put him first in the grave, And heﷺsaid: “Indeed Allah raises, through this Book, some peoples and lowers others.”
And in Paradise, rather before Paradise, the Qur’an will come on the Day of Resurrection as an intercessor for its companions and the Hamil al-Qur’an (Bearer of the responsibility of the Qur’ān): “Read the Qur’an, for it will come on the Day of Resurrection as an intercessor for its companions…” Hadith. The Messenger of God, ﷺsaid: “It is said to the owner of the Qur’an: Recite, ascend, and invoke it, and recite it as you recited in the world, for your position is at the last verse you used to recite .” And for whom is this position other than the memorizer of the Qur’an? He alone is specific to that great stature from the Lord of the worlds. And “the one who is skilled in the Qur’an is with the honorable and righteous angels.” Do you want more than that? Some people whose hearts are always attached to mosques, who are keen on Allah’s remembrance, who have a good history and righteous deeds, what do other people around those righteous people call them? “the people of Allah!” Imagine why people describe and honor them by saying that? A hadith you may hear for the first time; Anas bin Malik (RA) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Allah has His own people among mankind.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, who are they?” He said, “They are the people of the Qur’an, the people of Allah and those who are closest to Him.” Just imagine! Allah, the Exalted, the Majestic, singles you out to attribute you to Him. You are not only a servant of Allah and what a beautiful statue !, but you are above that,“of the People of Allah!”And why would that be? For the Qur’an Memorization.
(The Qur’an Memorization ) between yesterday and today:
One of Allah’s (SWT) miracles is that His book is recited and memorized in the hearts of millions around the world, regardless of their tongues, colors, and even their mental Memorizationabilities and faculties, but it is the Qur’an that facilitates its remembrance. Yesterday memorizing the Qur’an only required its owner’s will, and a wooden board, on which he learned the verses by writing them repeatedly. Today, you can Memorize the Qur’an not only from the Mus’af and you have to go to a sheikh to teach you, but as soon as you open your computer, you can memorize the Qur’an From a Distance, through sheikhs, memorizers, and readers who may be in another continent, or in the other part of the world, but with the click of a button, you will be in front of your sheikh, you recite to him Allah’s (SWT)verses, correct your mistakes, follow up with you, and arrange together the appropriate schedule for Memorizing the Qur’an, perhaps more accomplished, organized, faster and more proficient than before, because you select the most suitable schedule for you, whatever your concerns, and it does not require you to leave your job or impose a certain system on you. You can do all this with a click of a button now HERE via IQRA Platform for the Holy Qur’an Memorization, and even to obtain an Ijazah (is a testimony from a sheikh who authorizes a student that this student is now qualified to be recited by others) of Qur’an Memorization and teaching the Holy Qur’an Memorization, thanks to scholars, Sheikhs, and Professors of the Qur’an Memorization, who devoted themselves to help you Memorize the Qur’an From a Distance.
