About me

Tasneem Abdel Aziz is a dedicated student of Islam for over a decade and a passionate teacher who is honored to share her knowledge with others. At IQRA Network, she facilitates meaningful, thought-provoking discussions that explore Islam not just as a belief, but as a complete and practical way of life.

A Safe Space for Deep Questions

As a practical Islamic Studies teacher, Tasneem loves to see the curiosity and intelligence of her students shine. She believes that real learning happens when students feel comfortable enough to ask incredible questions—the kind that show deep thinking and sincere reflection. She actively encourages her students to ask, explore, and seek understanding, creating a safe and supportive space where they can grow and truly connect with their faith and Islamic values.

Making Islamic Concepts Simple and Relevant

Tasneem’s goal is to demystify Islamic concepts and demonstrate their relevance in our modern world. Whether the topic is belief (aqeedah), manners (adab), or daily actions, she helps her students discover how Islam can be applied in a beautiful, clear, and logical way. Her classes focus on applying Islam in daily life, empowering students to live their faith with confidence and purpose.

For Tasneem, teaching is not just about sharing information. It’s about creating an environment of trust and intellectual curiosity where students can embark on a personal journey of reflection and growth.

You ask, we answer

Here are responses to some frequently-asked questions

Can I choose to have a female teacher?

Yes. Most women prefer to be taught by a female. Our female teachers are certified with ijaza, have taught for years, and have attained recognition as a scholar. They are all highly qualified and offer a level of comfort to our female students. Let us know your preference and we are happy to arrange it.

How do you pick your teachers?

With thousands of applications a year, we are blessed to be in a position to choose only the best. It is a rigorous application and background check process. They must go through a preliminary round of vetting before being offered an interview. After hiring, they are required to successfully complete a training and onboarding procedure before they teach their first student. All our teachers have regular in-service training sessions to empower them with the latest tools in education.

How do you maintain quality?

Every lesson is recorded. There is no other program that offers recorded sessions and the opportunity to view them. The academic advising team uses it for training purposes and to continually find ways to improve and make it dynamic for the student.

Do the teachers speak English?

Yes. With the majority of our students being native English speakers, it’s important that we maintain a staff of English-speaking teachers and advisors. Be assured, our native Arabic speaking teachers all have English aptitude.
